I am an INSTALLATION Artist & sculptor based in Los Angeles.
My work draws inspiration from the desert landscapes of West Texas, mid-century american autos, and the accidents that emerge from experimental hand-made projects. Sharp edges, jarring proportions and soft colors reflect the exquisite agony of a queer Texan coming-of-age in the 90s, the NYC Skyline and the topography of southern california.
My projects reimagine masculine shapes as gifts of transcendence—shifting form language from Cadillacs and tombs of the nobility into communal property. I have installed large public sculpture projects twice at Burning Man, the Trans Pecos Festival in Marfa, and on the shores of Bombay Beach.
My most recent projects use fire as both a ceremonial aspect, and a marker of the thermodynamic effects of human intervention on the natural world.
